# Canal Car Watcher

This system watches the Cape Cod Canal YouTube livestream and sends an alert when a white car (like a Prius) is detected in a known location. It limits to 8 alerts per day and sends a startup snapshot.

## Setup

```bash
sudo apt install streamlink ffmpeg ssmtp
python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txt
```

Add to crontab:

```bash
* * * * * /home/bbl/canal_watch/loop_wrapper.sh
```
